    Hey all,

I will be getting 2 VU+ Solo 2's on next week.

    Just looking for some help.

    Which image should I use?

I want the most stable, quickest etc.

Also I want to use the Sky Skin/Blue HD Skin.

    Thanks :)

Openatv 5.3 then vix would be my choice if you look in solo2 thread theres links to all major teams download centres no need to be paying for stuff thats free.

Youtube will give you an idea what images can do try test see what you like and best for you .

if you need a hand just stick a post up plenty of members here will help you out if needed.

And if you like the look of openvix skins there all available from plugin feeds on openatv .

I was reading about OpenVix and it does seem the best.

I was also looking at the skins they provide and they all look really good.

Is it difficult loading an N-Line onto a Solo 2?

Please if someone could guide me to set up/install Vu+ Solo 2 ( Open vix) first time. I could not find a video or guide. (The one supplied with box is no use)

I thought you were going to get it delivered with vix installed?? Say a bit more, is it just for one satellite? where did you buy it? What are you trying to do? ie set up tuners etc.

I have solo2 as do others say a bit more and its easier to help.

I am totally blank in receiver boxes, first time. Only used sky box. I bought Vu+ solo2 (with Enigma 2 firmware / Image option Opex Vix latest) from World of Satellite UK and got it today. I have not attached any hard drive yet. I put sky cables and connected through ethernet cable.

Then powered it on and got lost in initial set up. The guide that comes with box is crap. Need help. Any video tutorial to set it up and install channels.

that a good answer, you are at stage 1 in the learning process as you say sky cables it means you are on one satellite.

I dont have vix in use at the moment so I cant rattle off all the sequences but to get you started you need the 2 tuners configured. They are referred to as a and b. Now its possible your box came with a channel list installed for 28east and you need do is set tuners. do this.

    1. menu, 2, setup, 3 service searching, 4, tuner configuration. 5 select tuner A, 6, PRESS OK, and it should show configuration mode, use arrows on remote and select mode, simple. 7, arrow down and make sure sattellite is 28.2east astra.

Exit back out and do same for B. then exit all the way and press ok, its possible a channel will pop up the press ok and you may see a list of channels.

do that and nothing else and report back. and by then i will have a link
