Hi guys, I have a Monitor Audio Bronze 5.1 setup that I got from you a few years ago... All has been good so far except this morning I switched on the subwoofer (had not been using it for a few weeks) and its producing a very constant hissing/humming sound, kind of like white noise on a radio. None of the controls (volume, frequency, etc.) have any effect on the level of the noise. The noise continues even after disconnecting the input from the amp and continues as long as the sub has power on. If I switch it off and back on, the noise stops but soon as I provide it signal the noise starts again and even if I disconnect th input, it continues till I power it off.

Really strange, and very worrying :-( do you know anything I might be doing wrong?

    Hi Fatb0y.

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with you subwoofer.

Could you PM me with you address and I can look you up on our system.

Normally Monitor Audio come with a 2 year warranty on subwoofers.

I have chatted to Monitor Audio this morning and they say it sounds like the amp module has went faulty.
If the sub is out of warranty a new amp module is around £176.00
This can be fitted by yourself or you can return the sub to us here in Belfast and we can fit it for you.
