    Hi everyone,

I was just wondering, how do you commute from Naas to Ballsbridge? I am moving to Naas in a couple of weeks and need to be in Ballsbridge for work each day (9 to 5.15). Could you advise what you found to be the best route and realistic travel times?

    Thank you!

Naas is lovely. I lived there for a few years when I worked in Kildare. Now in city centre and we considered it but found the commute to be too much.

By train it would be well over an hour each way aswell as a lot of hassle.
By car it varied greatly with too many variables to be a reliable option. Add it the cost of parking and it made no sense to us.

Leaving at 7.20 and taking the canal route should have you there for 8.50.
The traffic on the canal in the mornings is horrific

If your start time in work was 8am you'd find the commute a lot better OP. When I have to start at 8am, I leave Sallins at 6.40, and I'm city centre & parked by 7.30am. If I leave at 7am, the same route will take 90 mins. It's one heck of a busy route in the morning.

    Is a motorbike in play?
My buddy used drive to Dolphins carne and cycle the rest of the way, at least on dry days.
