Its the only way the indo and its sister papers sells with declining sales across the board ,Forget about reading news and sit back and read fantasy world in which mostly Independent news and media journalists fight to see who has the most outrageous stories this week made up in there head ,from what some so called celeb is wearing in the city to which syco is at top end of his game this week, throw in SF somewhere and that's the weeks work done, Rinse and repeat every week, different names same story...

There is a huge interest in the gangland scene in Ireland. Just look at love hate. Had the whole country gripped thinking the characters were hilarious.

If people buy the papers for the stories why wouldn't they print them?

You be correct if what independent media were writing was the truth in what is/going on in these feuds, They write absolutely complete rubbish and sensational news, which anyone with a glancing interest can see, There was a well informed news blog last month doing the rounds and Nicolat talent and sw got it closed down.

Is there no invesgative journalist left in this country or is it all playing to keep there bosses happy ?

That article is the biggest load of crap ever, the gunman was so cool and well prepared with real time information about the his intended target that he actually shot an innocent guy in the area

These so called journos are responsible for a lot of deaths over the years I would say. Not the them all but any of them that print rumours and gossip are for sure. That chap that phoned in the Joe Duffy show to correct Paul Williams a few years back said as much. He told Paul that he was fueling and stirring up some of the feuds. Almost as soon as he left prison he was killed. Paul Williams reaction to that was to smugly profess that his appearance on Joe Duffy that day was what saw a crackdown on mobile phones in prisons.

    Headline in SINDO today.

    http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/gangland-gunmen-highly-trained-in-weapons-and-outnumber-eru-34633875.html

This is glorifying and goading scumbags surely? Perhaps if the media stopped bigging them up, which is what they want like all psychopaths, this may help stop the murders?

Clicked on the link to have a nosey, seen the article was by Jim Cusack and immediately hit the "back button".

Your alright mate, I usually turn to Tolkien when I wanna slice of fiction.

The article says he shot somebody based on precise real time information.

That means someone was on the phone and watching who he thought was the intended - or possibly the real target - and the gun man acted on that information.

It doesn't make the article crap or wrong.

I wouldn't say there's a paper left in the galaxy that's not a disgrace to journalism according to the well versed people of AH.
