Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    As advertised during the week the Irish Defence Forces are recruiting in large numbers this year. The question I have is what are the stages of the recruitment process for general service from the time you submit your application what's the next stages? As I've been told a few different stories. Ideally a current member might be able to tell me as it's something I'm considering. (Please don't bother commenting unless it's positive. As I'm only looking for positive feedback on this matter cheers) :)

    1. Online application.
    2. Fitness test and complete Garda vetting form.
    3. Online psychometric tests.
    4. Interview.
    5. Repeat pyschometric test in person. Not everyone has to do this stage.
    6. Medical.
    7. Induction. 17 weeks training -> 2 star. 12 weeks training 2->3 star.
    8. Assignment to barracks.

    Why don't some people have to do the pyschometric test twice?
