Anyone fit one of these electronic kits to their distributor?
They are a lot cheaper than some makes, 1 year warranty, generally good reviews from classic owners.

Just wondering if they are worth a punt instead of shelling out €100 plus.

Yeah I see one here for around 30 ish from ebay. Was recommended an expensive one for long term reliability but I have other places that extra 60/70 quid could go!

Why not buy two so you have one spare, as it'll most likely fail at the worst possible place and time? ;)

Bought one for my Escort a couple of years ago, started great but used to cut out by the time I got to the gate and wouldn't go for an hour or two ! I read a review that reckoned buy 3 and you should get one that works......Dont be tempted to buy their all singing timing light, it only briefly worked too !!
Have a lumenition unit in my mini and it works fine and has never missed a beat.

Have it fitted to my essex v6 for over 2 years now, great bit of kit.
No trouble with it and car ran better.

Ensure to wire it up properly and don't have the red wire on a permanent "+" Ballasted coil output should not be providing the power to the red wire either.

Thanks lads. Will give it a try anyway, worth a punt at 30 quid.
