Toyota Avensis touchscreen display

Ok, so I've tried googling this but haven't had any luck. I have a Toyota Avensis with a touch screen radio. For a touchscreen it feels basic but it does the job i guess. The one thing about the mp3 function on it that drives me mad is that you can only skip a track, but you can't fast forward or rewind within the track if that makes sense. I like listening to podcasts on long drives, but if i miss something i can't rewind to hear it again or if i get half way through something i can't later fast forward to skip the part ive listened to.

Is there any upgrade available or am i missing something?

Can you long press the skip button?

As above, the steering wheel buttons skip folder on a long press IIRC, but the buttons on the radio itself fr/rewind?

Thanks guys, feel like a right feckin idiot  The buttons on the steering wheel didn't seem to do much, but the one's beside the radio do the trick. Honestly don't know how I never paid that much attention to them before!

A bit off topic but do you find the screen hard to see during the day if its bright or you have lights on during the day.

Not normally, though to be fair this morning was a bit tricky because it was unusually bright out. Usually i just turn it on and don't pay too much more attention to it. The brightness of the screen can be adjusted if you were really bothered about it. I only really find it an issue if im using the reverse camera and the sun happens to be shining directly onto the screen.
