Freesat TV dying, what to replace it with?

My LG Freesat TV is dying and I need to replace it. I'm not too bothered about 7-day EPG for the satellite feed. The TV is wall mounted and there is nowhere to place an extra box other than behind the TV. Technology has moved on since I bought this and I really don't know what my options are at this point. I just want to be able to receive Saorview and Satellite channels in one unit, or to have a very small box behind the TV. Recording is not a requirement.

I know there are FTA Satellite TVs (Powercity do a few) but what are my other options?

    Thanks

I have a Sony W705, which has a satellite input (not Freesat).

You might not need a 7 day epg but fta is just now and next. A 1 day epg would be ideal!
Another thing to consider is that freesat automatically adjusts if any channel changes frequency.
You'll have to do it manually with fta.
I have a 6000 series Samsung with built in freesat. Can't remember the model number but I've no complaints.

It depends on what size TV you want

Most Samsungs with a Sat feed start at 40"

The amiko mini HD combo comes with a remote ir sensor so that the box which is tiny can be hidden behind the tv
then just place the ir receiver on the bottom of the tv or somewhere like that
Father in law has 1 for a year or so now works great

Might as well put up a link to the current range of Freesat TVs, all makes (Samsung, Panasonic, LG) start at 40".

Know anyone in ROI supplying these? I got my LG via Richer Sounds in Belfast at the time

Thanks, I'll look into this a bit more. Problems with the screen on the current TV are driving me nuts (no picture, screen freezes etc. regularly powering off and on to get a picture)

LG 43LF590v is a smart tv and has a satellite tuner built in

I have one and the picture is great on it.

If you want something bigger for not a lot more,

This is a 49 inch tv with the satellite tuner built in.

Only 1 HDMI and 1 usb port is a deal breaker for some people, but for me, I've never used more than one of these ports at a time, especially with the sat tuner built in

The ad details on both of those don't seem to mention either Freesat or a Satellite tuner  only
    Freeview HD digital tuner.

I forgot to mention that the listings do not mention that there are Satellite tuners built in

    But there are

I have the 43 inch model and I use the sat tuner every day. For the 49 inch model, I don't know from personal experience, but the LG product codes tell you what features the tv has

    49LF510V says 49 inches, LED, Made in 2015, Series 5, Model 10, DVB-S2, T2, C

The last bit says it has the DVB-S2 function, which is a satellite tuner., the T2 is for terrestrial (saorview/freeview) and this receiver can also decode Cable (DVB - C) if that is available in your area.

Doesn't seem quite right - I've had my LF for at least 5 years

    Only LG's LF630V and LF650V have Freesat (2015 models)

Older models have a generic sat tuner (now & next)

Presumably their 2016 models will have Freesat

Samsung and Panasonic TVs have had Freesat built in for years
