Peugeot 5008 disaster

    Hi all,

So yesterday I bought a 2010 Peugeot 5008 1.6 tdi privately. It was driving well, looked well looked after, all in order really.

Today I drove it 60 miles to work. Again, no problems. However, on the way home while cruising on the motorway at 120kph I got the mil and stop warning, with limp mode. No noises, no smoke, no nothing.

I pulled over the car, and it stopped the engine and refused to restart.

I had to pay 150 for recovery to home. I'm getting a code reader to see what's up tomorrow, but I know I won't sells tonight!

Can anyone suggest what might cause the car to stop and refuse to drive anymore, after being driven without issue for nearly 40 miles?

On looking in the engine bay I can see a very slight seal leak on injector number 4, a small amount of sludge around the Base of the injector.

I really hope this has something to do with it instead of the dreaded turbo issue!

Check your insurance, it might cover you for the recovery.

Unfortunately it was only covered to the nearest simi garage, which was 35 mins from my home! I decided to fork out to have the car brought home, less stress overall!

    I had a similar issue on C4
Changed the fuel filter fixed the problem
    Car.would drive under 2000/revs

This bloody thing won't start at all! I'm inclined to think it might be a fuel issue like a filter or pump, the car was cranking fine but wouldn't start at all.

Post up the codes when you get them. I take it plenty of diesel in the tank and engine oil is full?

Edit: When you turn the key to the ON position can you hear the fuel pump prime? While you’re waiting for the code scanner check all fuel pump related fuses.
