    As above^^

Anyone know where I could buy an 8mm square socket to remove the sump plug on my van? (Renault kangoo).

Would like to buy it tomorrow in dublin from a bricks and mortar shop.

    Thanks.

Most motor factors would have them. No need to drive to the next nearest Halfords!

    Ring and check.

Or get a "one size fits all" - actually, get one anyway

Yeah... asked for a few bits like that in a few factors in the past and you'd swear I asked for something to euthanize puppies with.

I have one I think in limerick citaaay which is no real use to ya I spose.

I used the bar from my sitting room door handle for my saxo before.
Just remember to remove the door locking mechanism before you lock someone in the room.

    Probably the same size.

If you do a click and reserve on it on halfords online, it will be there waiting for him at the till save him having to look for it.

Make one? A 3/8's socket drive is 9 and a bit mm so filing/grinding off a mill will get you 8mm?

Another starting point would be a large allen key that you never use.

M5 bolt (I think), with some corners filed off either. Or if you can find a square drive bolt 8m across, even better. Two extra nuts wound against each other to wrench against (similiar)
