So over in hot deals UK there is a hot post on about.... "Three (UK) Data Reward SIM now *FREE* with 200mb FREE every month". Might not be completely free as there could be a £10 charge to register or top up initially. The offer is based on the Three UK feel at home service that they provide..... Soooo you could potentially get free data every month whilst living in ireland or if you go on holidays to the Three UK feel at home destinations..

I have not read each post on the girth deals website so could be some other qualifier for it.. Anywho, I have ordered the free sim to a UK address to see how this goes down.

You can only use the SIM for a maximum 2 month in Feel At Home in a 12 month period if you exceed that roaming will be disabled.

You need to make sure, that once in a while you use the SIM in the UK or any country that does not have Feel at Home.

I wonder how they will provide 200mb of data free every month? Sure look it, not ventured, nothing gained.

I ordered a sim, sent it to the RoyalMail office in the North as I read another user doing on the thread.

Here's hoping it'll get here safely and will work.

I'm looking for an option where you can pay say €20 every 6 months for a sim card which can take/make calls and have a rolling data allowance, so you get 5gb at the start say and it lasts 6 months - or more, or in this case, 200mb a month might even be ok, this would be instead of paying a new bill pay bill and also to avoid having to keep a sim topped up every month. I'd rather sign up to a bill pay bill than have to keep remembering to top the phone up, but this three deal could be a happy medium between both if it lasts months?

The above says you can only use it for 2 months though so I'm guessing it's not the solution I'm after?

Say you don't have a postcode, fill in your regular ROI address but then afterwards add the BT1 1AA postcode, it'll be sent to the RoyalMail centre up the North and they'll reroute it down to An Post in the South for free.

I've done it before for things which I don't really care if go missing or not.

My GF's been using hers here for 10 months now. She gets a text once a month saying it's free.

How did that work? Could it be hacked at all? Was it sim card based?

Is she only using it in Ireland or is she also using it outside Ireland.

I know people who used 3 for an easy way of getting a UK number for their shopping and they got a text this month that they have exceeded the number of month allowed under the free offer.

Looks like you do have to make an initial top up to avail of the service. The packaging states you need to go to Three.co.uk/freedata and register. I did that but but there was no validation email as mentioned. I can surf the three.co.uk website fine but I can't manage to log in while on the SIM. I can log in fine on my home wifi.

My UK Three SIM has been disabled for roaming (for 12 months) as I made the mistake of using in Ireland again (after 2/3 months of last using it here) without having it connected to the Three UK network in between. Even when I was back in the UK, Three's UK customer service wouldn't re-activate it for roaming.

How did you put in your address. The screen I used had no address just space for post code.

Under the box for post code there is an option to enter address manually. click on that and drop down boxes for entering address appear

    Never arrived :( pity

What format address did people use ?

Did anyone ever get this going?

I see they have an option here where you pay £10 for 1gb and then get 200mb per month free too (indefinitely?) I don't know if it's restricted to that 2 month limit aswell?
