Archetict has come to us with his initial drawings..While they are beautiful we are a bit anxious about the scale of house..It is 18 feet by 58 feet..
How do u think this would look. Is it too long and narrow
    Thanks in advance

Not really enough information to say. It really depends on the orientation and the specif look of the site in question

Is this rural? Is this to suit a certain vernacular ?

It's like asking "do you like this dress?" Without showing any pictures.

"no you don't look fat in it" is usually the correct response regardless

It's not the guna that matters, it's the cailin underneath!

OP: Without any further details, I'll hold too many comments, but in principle if it's 18' deep, it sounds like you'll get good sunlight e.g. not too deep to have dark ends of rooms?

I think you'd want to take a good look at the internal layout of a house that narrow and try to imagine how daily use will work out? My first thought is that you might have some rooms that are used as corridors to others.

I'm guessing it's to maximise natural daylight inside and probably an access corridor along the north elevation.
