Anyone know if they would have 3" x 1.1/2" treated timber. Their web site can be a pain sometimes.

From memory no, they sometimes exclude them seperately as garden power tools or similar. They sell kitchen appliances in the shops with kitchens, I think thats what they mean.

    Here's a text from 2014

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=88990053&postcount=1

Generally speaking, kitchens, lawn mowers & showers are excluded. You'd need to ring to find out for sure but my money is on not getting a discount on them.

Here is a printed voucher you can use without needing the text. It doesn't mention showers being excluded.

Do you have to print it out?

You can save the voucher to your phone as an image or use the text.

The only exclusions for this particular round are Garden Sheds and large kitchen appliances (dishwashers et al). Lawn mowers ARE included. As are showers. As are power tools.

Go to a proper building suppliers like Chadwich's, Buckleys etc. They can be 70-80% less than woodies with some wood items. Plus they will tell which timber is right for your needs

Thanks OP, worthwhile for some products no doubt but couldn't agree more on above, Woodies are an absolute robbers for fencing posts and the like - I'd bought some posts in Chadwicks on a Friday and was stuck for a couple more on a Sunday so went to woodies to source - they were three times the price so waited till Monday!

Woodies are retailers. Chadwicks are wholesalers. You don't go into a wholesaler like Musgraves to buy a box of cornflakes, you go to a retailer like Super Valu

Chadwick's, Heiton's, Goodwin's etc. are wholesale and retail, the price you see is the price you pay and that price is often significantly cheaper than the DIY chains, trade get a further discount. There is nothing to stop anyone going in to the builders' providers and buying anything, the same can't be said of Musgraves.

Would agree for irregular items, however for some stuff this code can be very useful paint, led bulbs, lawnmowers etc as always, do a little bit of homework. Won't take too much longer than writing a post here

Woodies is a total rip-off all through the range. I'd say I'd need about 40% to 50% off before I'd even consider walking into a Woodies. The words bargain and Woodies should never be in the same sentence unless the sentence is 'you'll never find a bargain in Woodies'.
