Simple question as per title, if my parent needs medical treatment and has no health insurance, can I pay for them to be treated privately and claim tax relief?

Yep you can claim tax relief for qualifying medical expenses that you pay for any other person - doesn't even have to be a relative.

Wow, thought it was the case but wasn't sure.

Thank you both, if it comes to it, it will make a huge difference to my parent.

    Many thanks.
