    Hi Folks!!1

    I will explain my case.
I worked as employee for more than 3 years and i always paid the PRSI tax, about one year i left my jobs and i started working as self employee sub contractor in Deliveroo as delivering food, I had to sign up in revenue as self employe but I do not earn enough money to pay the tax but I sent a letter to revenue saying that my income was not enough to pay the tax. ( citizen information instructed me to make this letter ) so almost two months'm unemployed and I went in intreo to apply for job seekers benefit, but the lady said that as I worked as a self employee so I should apply for job seekers allowance, is that right ?
It would not be right to have the job seeker benefit? becouse I have the PRSI tax paid for more than 3 years?
Other thing is, they said that I will have an interview with the inspector so i asked myself, why some inspector going to interview me if i have my all records in there?
Some kind soul could explain this to me??

    Thank youu

If you apply for Benefit you will probably get the reduced amount because your weekly income was so low in 2014
If you are means tested for Allowance you will probably get more
Don't worry about the Inspctor interview he just wants to get a picture of your general situation
As long as you are looking for and available for full time work you should be fine

    Hi Guys
Sorry a bit off topic but cant figure out how to create a new thread. I'd been living away from Ireland until 2015 got a job pretty quickly and was in that for a year when i got offered another job with another company, I gave in my notice and took the new job and it was awful. They were very rude and arrogant to me and I didnt feel welcomed at all. My manager told me on my last day she didnt think I was the right fit for the role. Long story short it didnt work out. I only worked there for 4 days unpaid. The problem is now the dole office is looking for proof of employement from this employer and they are ignoring both me and the social welfare office. They told me they have tried to reach them numerous times. I know they wont have me down for a p45 so I think contacting revenue would not help my case. They never took any of my personal information. I am actively searching for work I really hate claiming but if needs must. My deciding officer has given me two weeks to try and get it but I dunno what else I can do. I am literally so stressed out about this I have rent to pay and no source of income and no savings to my name.
Is there anything else I can do about this? How can I get them to prove I worked there for 4 days? It seems to me so unfair if I cannot get any benefit because I cant prove I worked at this place for 4 days? They have all information and documents they need from me bar this. Please if any one has any advise on what I could do? I would really apreciate it.
I am also wondering if they close this case, can I open a new case and i would maybe not mention this employer? Or would they have a record of it on their system? I'm hoping i'll get a job soon anyways but just worrying for rent etc. Any advise would be greatly apprciated.
