I understood that this has been going on for quite a long time now, but things at the 'paper of record' aren't what they once were. No prizes for guessing who took the gates. :rolleyes:

I recall nearly half a century ago, an alert ticket checker stopped a man at the ticket barrier in Dun Laoghaire.
Under the man's coat was a toilet seat, which he had taken from the gent's toilets.

Unfortunately, a section of society has been allowed by the criminal justice system to advance to larger items.

Very easy to narrow donw the time frame by pulling the CCTV of all 22 runs from Friday afternoon until it shows up.

If it's farm type gates, these have been disappearing from various places for the last number of years now, no doubt the thieves will be going door-to-door trying to sell them on to farmers.
