Found Vehicle Registration Cert

On my walk to work this morning I found a folded up Vehicle registration cert on the ground

Had a look around and the matching car was nowhere to be found

The back of the cert is signed so it looks like the owner probably sold the car but made the mistake of leaving the cert with the new owner and they never transferred the cert to their details (nothing else is filled in on the back except the previous owners signature)

There seems to me to be no point in sending it back to the name listed on the cert, they probably wouldn't have the details of the new owner

Should I send it to the name on the cert or should I send it to the vehicle registration office and let them know the circumstance?

Drop it into a Garda station if handy otherwise post it to Shannon.

I'd send it to the registered owner. More fool them if they don't have details for who bought it having handed over the book.

Post it to Vehicke Registration office in Shannon. Simply stick a post it note on it stating you found it on the street, they can establish who now owns it.
