My DMF is rattling like crazy at present so Im staring down the barrel of replacing it very shortly. Its a 2008 smax 2l diesel 140hp - peugeot engine. Wondering what it would cost ballpark to replace? Just done the timing belt and tyres so not looking forward to another big bill!

Thanks, is that an Independent or Dealer price? Any point considering a SMF instead of a DMF for an smax?

    Thanks again

That would be an independent garage price.

No, not really... SMF will pass a lot of torsional vibrations - this will not only reduce the comfort, but additionally stress the gearbox.

Sorry only getting back now, George is right, that is an independent garage price and is a rough figure. Expensive enough issue unfortunately.
