I have been asking my solicitor since jan 2015 for these deeds which i gave him to hold on for us but i decided that i wanted them back

i did get the house deeds but not the land deeds for some in all my emails communications he has answered me twice and always has an excuse, was at a funeral or sick

should i have to wait this long for this last deed or can i report this matter to the Law Society ?

    Any advice please

Can you not arrive to his premises and just ask him for them. He can hardly fob you off when you are standing in front of him

Make an appointment to see him, saying that you want to collect your deeds.

I don't want to start a wildfire here but two thoughts occur to me.

    1. The part of your deeds bundle you want has been lost.

A reconstruction job methinks. Check your household insurance policy as some provide limited cover for the cost of replacing lost deeds.

    2. There is mischief afoot.

Naughty solicitors have been known to misuse client's deeds to execute fraudulent transactions. I would entertain that suspicion until I had evidence to the contrary. In other words, press this matter diligently as if there has been malefaction you will be expected to follow it up fairly promptly as distinct from acquiescing in the face of it.
