Taxing second hand car

    bought car last Friday in dealership
    they did the change of ownership online
    went onto motortax.ie and filled in details to get pin
    pin was sent but it won't allow me to log in with it?
    getting page with red writing headed login/track disc issue ?
    am I doing something wrong
    tax is out since 31st march if that's an issue

    While the dealer may have done the change of ownership online it may take time to be processed by the people in Shannon.

    Have you put the reg into the vehicle transaction enquiry on motortax.ie to see if change of ownership has actually happened?

    This usually means they are processing it, I'd try the PIN again tomorrow or the day after.

    Once new owner part is processed you be fine op.

    In mean time carry any details you have to show just bought car.
