Do you have another part on its own that you can connect the 3 wires to and connects to the AV1 socket. It's the SCART connection

thanks for the link, you say better than the other cable, thats my problem I cant plug that "other cable" into the back of the TV - there is nowhere it connects!

it produces a 480p output on supported titles

you can get that RCA to scart converters in most places tho, any electrical store would have em or some of you friends might too off old consoles and some dvd players came with them

You'll find one in a Euro store.
    Probably your local Deals too.
Even more likely is you've got one in a drawer at home, I'm tripping over the things.
Yes, there are better ways of getting images from your Wii to your TV but, if stumped by a composite to scart adapter then best not to worry until you gain a little more experience, plus not all TVs have the necessary connections.
    Happy gaming!

Do buy Mario Galaxy though, it's fantastic!

I use the Scart adaptor for my Wii, I think. Been a while since I connected so never looked at it since I did.

The images in the first post aren't showing up for me at all.

Presuming that you've got a fairly new/recent TV, the pic below shows how the different connections would look:
Component cables --- vs --- component (yellow, red, white cables, possibly into a scart adapter)
