Ah :-/ He seemed cool. I liked him on CBB.

"Life was pronounced extinct" ..never heard that saying before

Very strange but always seemed like a genuinely nice person and was inadvertently behind one of the funniest moments I've ever witnessed in reality TV.

Didn't know much about him until seeing him on BB this year (don't judge me:P). Very funny and witty guy, decent soul. He was sick a lot during the show and left due to illness. RIP

62 and found dead? Well was he ill? Police say they are not treating it as "suspicious" .... so that rules out foul play but was it suicide. 62 is exceedingly young for a man who I don't believe had any kind of substance abuse problems

He left BB due to illness, may be a natural succumbing to it.

I recognise the guys face and heard from my friend about BB - don't know of him much. Hope it was not too painful with friends/family near.

Sad, he was an eccentric but interesting and funny man.

While he wasn't directly involved, the mix-up in Celebrity Big Brother surrounding his supposed death was one of the funniest moments I've ever seen on TV!

I think he lived fairly hard during his younger years. These things have a way of catching up with you.

What about Bowie, though? He's still OK, right?

Ah, that's sad. He's one of those people who I didn't expect or want to like, but found his surreal sense of humour strangely endearing.

Right now, somebody is probably trying to explain to poor old Tiffany that David Gest is dead, but she's smugly saying "actually, I think you'll find it's David Bowie..."

A bit ironic that he was going on tour which was called

"David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul"

The CBB moment was very funny

    RIP

Didn't like him until I watched him in I'm a celebrity. ..then I loved him. The crazy stuff he would tell people and with such a straight face. As another poster mentioned..vaginica semen, his maid I think she was😆

Has to be said, that was bloody funny at the time especially the uncovering of Gest in the bed - "He's alive!"
    Anyways, RIP

Telling them he set up a charity called 'Chinese Girls with Herpes' was another and also how his best friend had a hotel in America for albinos (Albino Heights) which had special areas where they could play golf and bowling in the dark :P

Jason Donovan was in tears laughing at him while everyone else just looked bemused.

He was a legend and if there are any doubts on that, this should confirm it.

He couldn't help the straight face. It was the botox.

Lloved him on Celebrity Jungle , the accidental mixup in CBB re "David's Dead" priceless. You'd listen to him telling stories , and yes some were so far fetched but hilarious , you'd wonder was there a strange reality in some of them.

Sad to hear this news today,

    RIP.

    Nooooooo

    Not David Guest.

    First Estevan Gonlazes.
    Then Pete 'Detroit' Pzetek.
    Then Merle Haggard.
Then that guy from the thing.
    Now David Guest.
