Hi hope this is in the correct place, I have a Samsung smart TV model no UE40D7000 and it will not play Netflix, the app is there but when I click on it all that happens is a second of a black screen the back again to the app.

The address settings on the TV are

    IP Address: 192.168.1.3

    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Gateway: 192.168.1.254

    DNS Server: 4.2.2.1

I don't have any idea why it wont work but perhaps someone here might be able to help.

Make sure the tv is set to Ireland and has the latest firmware on it, this is usually the problem, where is the dns 4.2.2.1? is it a vpn service as if so Netflix has blocked access to many of these to stop people viewing the US Version of Neflix

4.2.2.1 is a Level 3 public DNS server (as are 4.2.2.2 through 4.2.2.6).

Press the following keys in sequence while in the apps menu : FF 289 RW
This will allow you to change country, choose USA or UK.
All your apps will be deleted and those of the country you choose downloaded and put in their place.
Switch back to Ireland again using the same FF 289 RW sequence. Try Netflix and see if it's now working.

I had this exact problem.Everything worked apart from Netflix. I had to change my router. Changed from old one to new tplinks. Worked perfect after that first time. Router has two rate bands. The 5G band worked perfect.

Make the dns be automatically detected as netflix is blocking ones not from your country of origin....

I have the same model and that happens occasionally - usually after an auto-update of the Apps.

You need to uninstall then reinstall the Netflix App. The only way to do this is to change the country to China (or another Netflix free region) using the FW 289 RW sequence.
    This will remove Netflix
Then switch the region back to Ireland or whatever region you want to use
Run the Netflix App again - you may have to do this a few times but it will eventually ask you to log in to your Netflix account.
    That usually sorts it

Once again ...change your dns settings to that of your ISP....the Samsung store works according to the country you are based in. Netflix has blocked access to people using a vpn to access Netflix Ireland.

I'm having the same issue on A 6000 series Smart TV I bought today, all other apps work but not Netflix.

I've checked for firmware updates - no new updates
I've switched country to China to re-install Netflix, I can see the re-install happen but still doesn't launch
I've used auto DNS, 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.1 set manually, also with no luck.

Should I just give up on Netflix working? I get the app loading page with blobs moving but after a while it just goes back to the TV without loading.

    Any other ideas?!
