Suggestions for lawn edging / where to buy

I'm looking to separate some small, curved flower beds along the edge of the lawn, and would like to edge them with something that will stop the grass from encroaching. Not looking for anything decorative, just nice, clean lines - maybe something like a galvanised metal edging that doesn't come much over the ground level?

I bought some metal edging recently - EverEdge. Very easy to install and looks very neat.
It was expensive though - €100 for 10m.
Had to buy it through an auctioneer guy in Mount Merrion who is the Irish representative.
If anyone can recommend anything cheaper - I would be interested to hear.

I just use a half moon spade to cut a shape in the grass and then trim with a side shears as the grass grows. Always looks good. The problem with an edging barrier is that the grass will grow anyhow and you will need a strimmer or similar to keep neat.

Came across edging made from recycled rubber recently and it looks really good. Also made in Ireland. There are a couple of colours.

separate the grass from the border with paving slabs, is the easiest way, that way you have a mowing edge, and a lot cheaper than metal edging and looks really nice
