Pension Adjustment Order

What exactly is required for the statement/affadavit of means?

I have the draft statement from the solicitor with the assets, income, outgoings, pension sections, etc.

What is the extent to which I have to provide receipts for? Or can I cross-reference items on my bank statement?

My OH is doing the same.

My understanding is that the statement of means is meant to reflect out respective current situations. My solicitor's explanation was that the final separation agreement would reflect the statement of means of both sides.

In my case, I will end up giving maintenance to my OH. She seems to think her statement should reflect what she needs post-separation and I am explaining to her that that is not the case. Am I right?

From my experience (which is still ongoing). Its current costs and assets and not future based unless of course its debt related however I'm still in the district court and will soon move to the circuit court to finalise the separation agreement and divide the assets.

When I put future costs into my statement of means e.g. legal fee's, sons college costs etc...the judge would not accept them and I was told to update the statement of means

    Thanks for the advice.

What level of receipts are required apart from bank statements and pension statements?
I can provide utility bills, mobile phone bills, etc. but for day to day spending what is required? I can't imagine one has to show receipts for every single item of spending.

I am in the process of separating. I have heard conflicting information about pension adjustment orders. Is this something that should be finalised at the time of separation (shortly) or at the time of divorce (4-5 years down the line)?

Also, I have 2 pensions from previous employments before I met my spouse. How are those treated? My spouse wouldn't have a pension.

    Mod Note
OP - I've moved your questions from another thread to your own thread and merged with your latest question. While possibly on point we don't view it as fair to hijack a thread, which is what your posts inadvertently did earlier.

sadly its everything, produce a receipt for everything that you spend money on e.g. lunches, petrol, groceries, clothing, dinners, haircuts, trips to the cinema, schools, daycare, etc..you'll need to show the supporting receipts for your running costs (which will be contained in your submitted statement of means)

    My apologies - I didn't intend that.
