Hi everyone, I have a bit of savings in AIB and I want to start to learn how to invest with let's say 3000 euros.

I see there are quite some investment products in AIB, any recommendations about them?

What AIB products? What to you think of them yourself? Why concentrate on AIB alone? What are you investing for? How long are you investing? Have you a pension? Have you a mortgage? Have you an emergency fund outside this 3k?

Many other questions other than opinions on AIB. Without looking at anything in detail, I see their regular investing plan is a unit linked fund run by Irish Life, meaning high fees, opaque products and most likely disappointed investors.

Most of the MAPs funds have 1.5% to 2% annual charges, and there is no way this is a TER.... definitely loads of hidden charges. 5% charge for early withdrawal too... wow, sign me up!

I cant name a single person I know who invested in AIB products that are happy. I know 3 people who invested in AIB products and their "investments" are pretty much worthless. The fees are insane. Actively managed funds rarely beat passive investing such as the S&P500.

I imagine a regular saver from Nationwide UK would perform better than a lot investment product from a bank without any risk
