    Hiya,

The little lad's 6th birthday is in June and he really really really wants a Wii U.

He's very much into the Lego games and is not keen whatsoever in the Mario games so the current bundles on offer are not really of interest.

Would you suggest I hold off buying until later in the hopes that the bundles might change?
Where would be the cheapest place to buy?

    Thanks!

Honestly can't see the bundles changing to favour the lego games. The bright side though is the mario (and nintendo first party) titles tend to be worth more, so you could trade the games in and easily cover the cost of a lego game?

I'm sure if you keep an eye on adverts you could pick up someone selling it off

    Edit:

This is actually a pretty amazing deal - Hard drive, & Splatoon, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart 8 are some of the best games on the wii U, and even if you didn't want them, they'd sell very easily.

Wii U 32Gb Splatoon bundle on Amazon for circa €250 is a pretty decent deal, in my opinion.

Lego City Undercover is also just after going into the Nintendo Selects range. It is a Wii U exclusive and is pretty damn awesome. I'd (personally) look to buy that in digital format as well and to preload it before his birthday. But digital or hardcopy, the new price is €25.

If you don't want Splatoon, it is a disc copy. And you could sell it to Cex for €15. So new 32GB console + Lego City for €260.

Check HMV for Lego city undercover. It went on clearance around a year ago and since then the shop denies all knowledge of the WiiU. But some branched still have the games, sale stickers n all, mixed in with 3ds and Wii stuff. Its been seen at 15.99 and 19.99

Lego Batman 3 is 22 in Smyth's. It has a tone of DC characters in it, but a 6 year old boy will only ask "where's spiderman?"

Both Argos and Smyth's had the Jurassic World Lego game reduced. Can't remember the price though.

Note. All Lego games are the same. Even a 6 year old will see that. LCU is the best all rounder, and its the closest thing you can get to GTA on Nintendo but load times are awful and no off TV play. the DC heroes are supposed to be funnier than the Marvel ones. Most games before lego barman 2 have no voice acting. Lego star wars on the Wii will play on WiiU with a Wii controller and is probably the best non-undercover Lego game.
