I was wondering would I keep this with the book or both but I am wondering what do people think will happen with Davos. I have a feeling he is very important to the grand scheme of things but I am not sure in what side he is on but I have a feeling he is Tragareon and him Millisandra and Jon (yes he will come back) will be on the good side.

He will be the Hand of The King, eventually.

You mean you think he's Targaryen? What evidence at all has there been for that? It would make no sense whatsoever.

You are right there is none it is just a feeling I have the he will be very important to the final battle and I would not be surprised if he was. and yes I meant Targaryen I thought that would be a given and suspected by all my bad for that assumption.

Why would anyone think that though? There is literally nothing to support it.

I think it just that really he just seems to be there a loyal follower of Stannis who knows nothing and seems to not be part of the overall story I just wonder if George R. R. Martin has something for him that will be a big WTF bit that we least expect it. I could be bat s@#t crazy and I probably am but I don't know but I believe he will be part of the end in a way none of us see at the moment

His "purpose" in being Stannis' Hand was to provide balance to Melisandres notions.

Is Stannis dead? I dont think so. Will he join the Nights Watch and become the 999th Lord Commander? Maybe.

But Davos will not support him. Not after murdering Shireen especially.

So I imagine he will give his support to Jon Snow and the real fight, which is the fight between the living and the dead.

How they play that out is anyones guess but Id imagine 3 dragons flying over the wall and burning the Nights army away will be a good start.

    I agree.

    Hand of the ultimate king.

I think Davos is the only other character with the potential integrity of Ned Stark but isn't a flawed by assuming that other people are as honest as he is. I also think Davos will have learned from and remembered various double crossings and wrong doings and always know how flawed poeple can be especially as they get close to power.

I do think there is a need and a place for Tyrion though in being close to any king/ queen. He is a canny clever politician and an excellent reader of people and situations. He was way more like his Dad than any of the Lannisters ever wanted to admit.

He's clearly set up for the Spy master role in my book; traveled all over the world, got the contacts, no significant scruples (but enough not to stab the queen in the back) and has the brains to put things together and present them appropriately.
