    Sue for declaratory relief. It will cost a small fortune.

    Sorry, but that's the answer.

    What exactly are you wanting to copyright and what exactly has the other person taken? "Information" can't be copyrighted.

    Copyright is automatic on creation of original work and only protects the following:-
    • original literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works (traditionally called the “classical” copyrights);
    • film, sound recordings, broadcasts and the typographical arrangement of published editions (often called “related rights”, because they involve the exploitation of “classical” works);
    • computer software and non-original databases (despite their modest credentials as “creative” works) and
    • performances.

    Google passing off.

    A facebook page isnt enough to constitute an economic loss so you wouldnt get damages.

    Secondly, google trade marks not copyright which is what you want.

    Your options are

    1. Register the business name in the cro. Costs twenty euro.
    2. Register the trademark with the Irish patents office or OHIM.
    3. Sue
    4. Get little or no damages.

    You used a name. You didnt invent it. Unless you invented the alphabet.
    IP law protects those who have established a trade under a brand name and gives damages against infringment. A facebook page wont cut it.
