Small claims court

    Hi.

Not looking for legal advice on what to do but think I'll need to give a bit of background information on the problem.

Purchased 2 doors for my house, 1500 for the front and 1500 for the back (supplied and fitted). Totalling 3000.

Front one is fine but the back one is faulty as it won't close properly and gets stuck and the top of it is slightly bent.

Contacted the company 5 times and getting the "I will ring you back later" reply...but they never ring back.

I'm now considering taking legal action but I'm aware the limit for the small claims court is 2000euro.

Although I paid for the 2 jobs together, and they were done the same day can it be split into 2 X €1500 jobs as I have only a problem with one of the items?
Any body any knowledge of this or hear that of anything similar?

    Thanks

Before you go anywhere, you need to know how much it will cost you to fix your door. Will €1500 pay for a replacement door and solve the problem? Is it possible to adjust the door so it closes properly?

I'd say the whole door needs to be replaced. It's warped so when it's closed there's a gap at the top! 1500 would replace it

    Which is less than €2,000.

Ring the court and ask for the small claims registrar. A quick chat for some advice would put you straight here.
