    Wasn't this available? I checked on the Netflix phone app a few days ago and it was definitely there. I just searched on my Apple TV and no sign of it.

    Loved this...missed it when it originally aired on the UK channesl. Great show...roll on season 2 going up on Netflix!!

    Sorry to drag up an old thread but just wanted to recommend it highly as its up on netflix now. One of the best shows Ive seen in a long time, I really put off by the title happy valley and even the cover photo looked like some cheesy british soap to the point I nearly didnt watch it but Im so glad I did
    I was absolutely hooked..loved every moment, the home relationships with characters were as interestng as the murder and mayhem, sarah lancashire is one of the most talented actresses Ive ever seen and she really stole the show but literally every actor was exceptional, even her little grandson was a fantastic actor

    Got to agree 100% with all your comments.

    It was something I would have scrolled past on Netflix, as it simply looked like some old British show I'd have no interest in watching.

    The OH started it and I watched along, not expecting much. 5 episodes in and its excellent. As you say, can't believe how good SL is. I remember her face from promo material from Coronation Street, but she is a serious actor.
