Looks interesting, but I'm not sure if it's intended for a male or female audience

You might get away with watching it either way. We won't tell.

It's based on Steven Soderbergh's "experimental film" from 2009, which starred real-life porn actress, Sasha Grey.

Shane Carruth (Primer, Upstream Color) is a composer for the series.

American television is absolutely obsessed with sex.

I watched the first 2 episodes , its kind of soulless, no humour it could have done with an inner monologue with the main character perhaps. It just seems like a bunch of characters drifting along. not sure if I will bother with the rest

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

I thought this was the US remake of Diary of a Secret Call Girl

We've watched up to episode 6 now, it's interesting and has enough going on to keep us watching though it's very unbelievable in certain aspects but........... I can't believe I'm saying this but the sex in this is boring me to tears at this stage. OK I know given her the nature of her 'nixer' it's going to have to be there but given the length of the episodes you just wish they would move the story on and just get on with it :D

The other thing that bothered me a bit was her motivation for getting into prostitution. It was mentioned once she might be short on cash when rent was asked for but I assume she was being paid for her internship, she also seems to have a personality disorder? She did say at one point she didn't like spending time with people unless there was a point to it so money? Or she liked the sound of the lifestyle her college pal had? Either way it felt like it was something she gave little or no consideration to and just went and did it ??

I binged watched the 13 episode season 1. Its a bit dark in places, but some great acting as well. Riley Keough did a good job as Christine/Chelsea. Cable network pushed the boundaries of what is allowed on television.

There is one scene where she is 'working' and the client pulls out to cum. Nothing is actually shown until she is passed a tissue to wipe it up and you see a 'white substance'.

I would say her mother was dead proud of her doing this series!!! She is Elvis's granddaughter.

Watched not that long ago. It's passed under the radar somewhat but thought it was an intriguing story with really brilliant acting. I hope season 2 (i think it's currently airing) lives up to season one.

Season 2 nowhere near season 1. No Riley Keough for a start and it's dark as f**k. I really have no idea how they are getting away with it. It's soft porn!
