Ford Fiesta Red Edition

    Hi all, some advice appreciated.

My sister has decided to buy a Ford Fiesta Red Edition. She has cash and is looking to get the best deal possible but wants me to go about the negotiations for her (she's quite shy).

I see from the Real Deal Event on Ford's website that there are substantial discounts to be had on Fiestas already. Are these discounts dependent on trading in/scrapping a car that is less than ten years old? Or are they available to cash buyers also?

Also, would there be much of a difference to be seen in deals from dealer to dealer? There are a handful of dealers in my area (Cork) that I can call in to. Would dealers be more willing to do a decent cash deal to close out their 161 sales numbers? She's not fussed about the plate.

My family is Ford mad (I recently bought a Fiesta ST2 myself from the UK) so another car isn't an option. Thanks again for any advice/tips!

Ford Real deal promotion is listed on the ford.ie website here as are the terms and conditions at the bottom:

As with buying any car, play the different dealers off each other for the best price.

Real Deal Support on the Fiesta goes down by €750 after this month, so get the deal done this month.

I know we are getting all available Real Deal support (corporate sales) without trade ins, but not sure whether that would be applicable to retail sales.

Worth trying a few dealers - CAB in Cork are supposed to be fairly good, but I've never dealt with them. Sheils in Ennis and Spirit in Dublin are our Ford suppliers and both very good to deal with.

Thanks Bazz and ROR for the advice. Trying to get it sorted in the next week or so.

I was offered the full Real Deal offers without a trade in, had it confirmed you do not need a trade in to get the full offer.
