I'm thinking of getting a vent mount for my phone ( One Plus One )

    are they any use ?

does the mount keep falling out with the weight of the phone ?

What are peoples experience of them ?

They clip in and grip at rear part of vent grill.

Should not fall out if clicked in right.

I bought one of those and I can never go back to window mount! They are the business and hold the phone very well.

The only thing you have to watch out for is making sure you don't turn on heat through the vent you are using because it might overheat the phone :)

I had a mount installed in a cd slot. Worked great, but in the new car I don't have the cd anymore...

It's for sale atm btw ;)

What kind of mount was that ? .. might do the job as well as I won't be using the CD area.. have Spotify on the phone and will be streaming over bluetooth.

I got one in Penneys of all places for 3 quid, holds a galaxy s5 and a 5.5" android no bother, phones never slipped out or fell.

I used one once in the winter and with the heating on the phone got very hot.

Maybe some more regular users could comment on that?

Just turn off the vent you have the mount on and won't have any issues. That's what Iv done and no problems.

Some cars you can't turn off the centre vents though.

Even in mine, the vents are the type that close up completely when the vent is off, wouldn't be able to use a mount like that. Then the centre ones are regular type ones but don't have an on/off
