Just watched Top Gun (again). Nothing like a bit of good old 80's tripe of a Saturday night.

My god though it must be "the George" of movies. Every air engagement seems to be matched by pictures of bulging biceps and beach volleyball.:o

And i'm convinced Slider is in fact on that side of the tracks. Anyone agree?

    Great movie though.

They are remaking it (or rebooting it) maybe. Tom cruise and iceman val Kilmer possibly involved. Tom looks the same but val perhaps not so much.

Yeah Top Gun 2 is in the works, all drones and UAVs done in CGI.

It will be like Stealth, and that was sh1t.

Yes, yes it is. Not as much female flesh on offer.

Aww shìt! They just can't leave anything alone! :(

I can just see them now having Gwyneth Paltrow or some other walking coat hanger playing Kelly McGillis' part!!

Apparently Ashton kutcher playing toms son, Demi Moore playing his ageing mother and val Kilmer now playing Kelly's character.

In the closet gay man learns to fly planes with like minded guys... Lol.

Tarantino seems to think it's a gay one alright!

Lights On beat me to it. I don't think this is an original analysis I'm afraid OP.

Top Gun has so many gay undertones I don't know where to start.

And a bit of an irony is Kelly McGillis later came out as a lady loving woman...

Top Gun has to be the most homoerotic movie EVER.. with 300 as a close second. I was out with friends a wee while back in a gay bar and they had a tv playing "the most attractive men in Europe", or some such thing, on a loop.
Plenty of car washes, hoses aimed in odd fashions and suds, lots of "suds" running off their practically naked(apart from budgy smugglers)and INCREDIBLY toned physiques.
Not that I was paying that much attention mind :D;)

Mod: Let's not start getting into saying anything homophobic. Already had to give one card. Would rather not have to give more/bans out, thanks folks.

Its a crying shame that Val Kilmer looks the way he does now, he was a fine fettle of a man in Top Gun :(

Watching Top Gun now. Did you know that Val Kilmer didn't want to do Top Gun, it was part of a previous contract. I'm sure he's glad now cause it's such an awesome movie!!!!!

Personally, I would have said his low was in the "Ghost and the Darkness", could see a definite change in appearance then :(

I watched that and must have missed that. Why would he have put on an Irish accent? Because of Farrell? Yanks putting on an Irish accent has always been laughable. But when they don't even have to it's just bizarre.
