Pet Lamb with scour

I have a pet lamb with a scour. Problem was ewe had biestings and lamb sucked her but the ewe had very little milk after and lamb seemed to be hungry. When I started feeding lamlac, lamb got scour and is humpy looking.

Vet gave me spectam for the scour.

I am putting a little natural yogurt in the milk and it seems to be helping a little

    Any suggestions

I've found that when a lamb is humpy looking from hunger it'll take a week or so on milk replacer before they start to come right again, as long as the lamb remains greedy he should be ok.

On the scour issue, talk to your vet again about some other treatment if scour persists. I've been recommended Bimastat which is meant for calves but has worked well on a couple of lambs that got scoury while on the ewes.

You're probably already doing this but pay attention to mixing ratios for lamblac/frisky, too weak or strong can cause problems as can any unmixed lumps.
