Milk purchasing conditions

    LAKELAND Have changed the specs for milk supplied.i would be intrested to hear what the requirements are in some of the other Co-ops are. Thanks in advance

    TBC base was 0 - 50 k

    now 0 -30 k 31-50, -.25 cent 51 -75, - 1.75 cent 76- 100, - 3.0 cent

    SCC base was 0 - 400 k

    now o - 300 301 - 350, -0.5 cent 351-400,-1.0 cent 401 - 500, - 2.0 cent

    Penalties increase as scc and tbc get higher

    Tbc limit is 30 in Glanbia. Scc is 300,000. What about thermo?

    0-1000 base

    1000-1500, -0.125 cent 1500-300, -0.25 cent

    the sum of 3 tests under 100 for tbc and under 200 for the month for scc in west cork

    Dairygold do a score card, you get 0.4c/L for 50 points if scc under 200, tbc, thd, water and lactose all right. If you get 40 points you get 0.3c/L etc
