I got my first smartphone a iPhone 5 in late 2012(I think)
Up till then phones did not last a year but this one has lasted surprisingly long.
My eyesight means that now I usually have to carry glasses with me for entering notes etc. so I am considering what size phone to get after this.

Are iPhone 6+ or Samsung Galaxy Notes or similar sized phone just 2 awkward to carry to carry round the farm.

One farm software company suggests an iPad size device for entering data but I still want a phone .

Just asking thoughts on phone size.

    Thanks

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and there is an option in the settings to enlarge the text size for any typing apps you use like text messages and emails etc.

I assume there is a similar option in in apple devices so there may be no need to change the phone yet.

Galaxy grand prime here. Around 120 no contract no SIM. Same size and to me same capabilities as Mrs freedoms S5. Like the way Audi specs turn up in jettas after a few years. Email, agrinet good battery and while it'd be a pain if it got lost or badly damaged ye'd get over it. Big difference between 120 and 6-700.

I have changed test size to a larger text (you would find when reading milk reports at meetings the lad beside me can easily read my noddy sized text:D)

The S7 is a bigger phone when compared to a smaller one does everything seem larger ???(also is it a bit big for pocket and how does it compare to note)

My main problem is using the Notepad option I usually type in something like
    1234 fr bull 40
    1235 fr fem 35
and when I get back to pc to get tag I add further info like
    1234 fr bull 40 11979 hzb
    1235 fr fem 35 01980 lwr

but often I find I typed 3 instead of a 4 as I cant really see the text I write until I get in to where my glasses are

Anyhow I see no reason to change phone for the fun of it (expensive) but I often find myself in a panic when the phone seems lost

Could you record voice notes / memos, and then replay them when you get back into PC?
(Might not be possible all the time, but might suit at times)

Dictating notes sounds like something like I would look into but if it works like Siri I would need internet connection.
Just looked it the app again and there is a microphone button that records voice as text (I will try this outside later but again without glasses on I would not know if it is recording Garbage- but thanks I will have a go:D

You're dependant on the text there again - I was more thinking of a voice memo...

Press record - say '1234, fresian bull, blah blah hokus pokus' :)
    Press stop
Press play - can you hear and understand what you recorded, if so, job done... It's there when you go in to out into PC...

    Download the ryanair app.
    Book next flight to Spain.
    Pack your bags.

Only work around I've found so far.
