Bluetooth anti-theft trackers

Has anyone used any of the wave of Bluetooth LE trackers on their bikes? And found them useful?

I've been getting a lot of ads recently for TrackR. They raised $1.7m on Indiegogo. This is one of the ones that uses others' phones to locate your bike if it's missing – Crowd GPS:

The Northern Irish bike light See Sense uses it:
Alerts you if someone moves or tampers with your bike to a range of up to 15 metres. Absolutely ideal for the coffee shop stop.
The Code for Ireland Rothar project has built one, though it's not available to buy yet.

An Australian crowd have one called Cycle Leash:

Tile is another popular Bluetooth tracker, though not specifically aimed at cyclists. They raised $2.6 million through crowdfunding and say they're the largest Crowd GPS network.

They're effectively iBeacons with a companion app. I'd happily get one if I felt there might be the critical mass of other users to find my bike afterwards. Are any bike shops in Dublin selling them?

I got 2 of them it to give them a try. Mostly I got them for my car keys, particularly for the separation alert. This works by the tracker attached to your keys giving off an alarm if I head off in the car and don't have the phone with me.
Disabled the app after 2 weeks as it was driving me mad. The bluetooth connection keeps dropping, so I was getting 20-30 alerts a day to inform me that there was an issue with the bluetooth.
I have a sony phone and can get 2 days generally without a charge. With this app working I was not even lasting one day!!
I have an iphone from work and intend to try it out on that to see if it works any better, but certainly with the Sony android it is more trouble than it is worth.
