just wondering what is the % of cattle kill out weight from live weight. What would a well fed 700kg bullock weigh dead weight

It would depend on the breed and to the level of finish. A well finished continental could kill out in the high 50's while a Friesian would usually be around the 50 mark.

Take photos and record live and dead weights, gut fill etc. Good reference for the future.

ah ya you'd expect bulls to be alot higher alright. I bought a scales lately so this will be a learning curve as I never knew the live weight of what I was killing. The margins are so small today you need to be knowing what your at and not guessing. The scales I think will prove to be an invaluable buy
