Soluble Solpadeine (codeine & paracetamol) consumption

Hi everyone.

I was told that taking more than 4000 mg paracetamol (8 tablets) a day is harmful, but what happens if you take more than this per day? Is there serious consequences? I do this on a regular basis and am worried about my health. I will be seeing my doctor about this.

Fellow Solpadeine users , I would feel less alone if you would disclose how many you take a day and how it affects you (only if you feel comfortable with this)? Am I alone?

Not sure about the paracetamol. Certainly sounds a lot. I'd be more concerned at the daily intake of codeine. I went through addiction treatment with a codeine addict. It is as destructive as any other addiction. Life changing stuff.

The recommended dose is given as is the warning over long term use for a reason.
Liver damage and coedene dependency among the risks.
Medical advice can't be given here but if you feel.you need pain relief on an ongoing basis , you need to see your gp.

Hi Forty Seven. I think the amount of codeine in Solpadeine is quite low, but the paracetamol in it is quite harsh on the liver which is what I'm concerned about.

Hi Makayla Few Tangelo, I'm not looking for medical advice just wondering if others are going over the daily recommended limit like myself. I said in my OP that I'm going to see my doc for tests.

Why does it matter what other people are taking? Everyone's system is different, if you are taking over the recommended dose you could do yourself damage. Go to your doctor.

Google solpadeine addiction.

Every addict started out thinking it wouldn't happen to them.

OP I can't leave this open for obvious reasons.
Please do see the doc asap.
