Hi all! Another annoying leaving cert here :D

So General Nursing is first on my CAO and I've looked at the modules quite a number of times. I was just interested as to what is actually learned in Biological Sciences. Would this equate to LC level HL bio? Is there a lot of biochemistry? Will I be learning Physics and Chemistry? And at how high of a level? Also, how are the placements like?

Sorry for just popping up on the thread, just really interested in this course and very curious. Thank you!!

The bio module is very similar to HL biology with a small bit of chemistry nothing major. There's extra modules and specific body systems in 2nd/3rd year that look at it from a nursing prospective. If you do HL biology for the leaving you should be fine.
Each college had different hospitals that they are affiliated. You'll have a mixture of core placements on general hospital wards and then specialist placements eg pysch peads A&E ID theatre etc
