    Hi all,

was thinking about the sense of getting our stock bull's fertility checked before breeding season commenced.... any advice about how I'd go about it please?

    Regards WexTK

As your vet , if he doesn't do it , he know who will, I had a bull bought few weeks ago , no money changed until delivery but he as tested on his way to my place and had low count , would have been a costly bull,

Ciaran Kingston is his name. Had him out he travels the country so he could be a few hours or a few days getting to you.

Your AI guy or local AI company would probably know someone too.

I don't know about testing when we jump the rams on AI day the first jump or two could be poor and improve after a jump or two. Over fed/pampered bull/rams do not produce good semen so your really only taking a snap shot in time.

Best use a vet if possible. Some bad stories about one or two operators. I do it every year for bulls I sell as helps both my mind and also for the buyer
