Parking Ticket in NI

Hi am wondering if anyone can advise me what happens if you don't pay a parking ticket you got in Northern Ireland if you have a Southern car? Hasn't happened me for years as last time I just paid within the deadline before I had to pay the full fine. Wondering if anyone has been in same boat and can advise. Thanks

I got one 2 years ago and nothing ever came of it, I got plenty of letters about it and threats of court but just ignored it and after a half a year or so I stopped receiving them.
