Seems nearly every launch lately has a SAT in it to see how much we're messing up the planet and now this one is going up with 6 little Oil cyclinders in it to study how the complex mess of molecules found in petroleum redistribute under intense pressures and uneven temperatures.

Heavier deposits end up rising, while lighter ones sink, so it'll make it easier to create computer models of oil reservoirs to get at.

Funded by ESA, NSSC, France’s Total oil company, and PetroChina.

    How will ESA benefit?

Maybe it's a bit of bridge building with the Chinese, get to work on any sort of project builds a relationship that might be valuable in the future
