Hi, I have some land in south Tipperary, approx 65 acres, about 30 acres is wet low lying land the rest is reasonable.
I was just wondering how much would I get per acre if I rented this? It would include a large shed also. I can't really find any advice on the internet\Teagasc website. Thanks in advance.

Hard to say exactly without more info, and local factors / demand will always have an impact. Is it well fenced?, who has been farming it up till now? well laid out, decent fertility? what kind of shed, slatted shed or large loose shed? How big is shed etc etc

You could get an average of €150/acre with shed rental on top of that? There's tax incentive's to lease the land out over a number of years now, rather than year to year rent - basically all rent tax free, check that out.

There's a guy who posts on here sometimes Pat Qfarmer who is an auctioneer in south Tipp if you could contact him, i'm sure he'd be happy to help, as would any local auctioneer. Generally best way to go is through an auctioneer especially if you are not familiar with the process. A good tenant is not always the one who offers the most money by the way.........

    Good luck with it.
