I am about to put my 3 bed apartment up for sale in Dublin. Value is about €300k but am in substantial negative equity. Have qualified for a negative equity mortgage. I got a quote for 0.7% fees for the conveyancing. Is this pricey? I have no idea what the market rate is. Thanks

I normally agree a fixed fee of around €1500 for conveyancing. It would be a bit more if a management company is involved as is the case for an apartment.

Thanks for that. What do you mean if a management company is involved? Yes there is a management company for the complex but there are no issues there...everything's paid up to date..my fees etc. I might pm you if that's ok...are you Dublin based?

This makes it a 3-way transaction, not a 2-way transaction.

IMHO €1500 plus VAT and all outlays is on the low side.

Practices do not run on thin air.

Just got a quote of  950 plus vat & outlays, sounds ok, doesn't it?

Anything under a grand is too cheap to be done right.

Could be a hundred years or more before an error is spotted with the conveyance.

Just got a more detailed quote:
     pro fee plus vat = 1223, land reg : 600, folio /map: 40, comm-oaths: 40; searches: 100.

So about 2000 plus stamp duty?
