Bioethanol / Trangia.

    Where can I get bioethanol? Woodies? Pharmacy?

    Apart from specialist shops which sell bioethanol fires, I'd say that you might have to order bioethanol online. I am unsure of the legalities of ordering meths from abroad.

    Alternatively, meths, which is also ethanol, can be got in hardware shops such as Woodies or B&Q. Meths can be more expensive in pharmacies.

    I second Halfords, check online for their price but I remember it was pretty cheap the last time I got it.

    Apparently.... Bioethanol burns cleaner and hotter than meths.
    From experience.... Does anyone know?

    a few drops of water is all that's needed for the meths to burn clean...

    Saw the gel on sites and YouTube but that's for a different Trangia burner.
    I'll be burning liquid fuels.

    Reading on some sites that addition of 10% water will give a cleaner burn.
