Sending a watch outside EU for repair

I need to send a watch off to the manufacturer in the US for repair (it's a Devon Tread) and I don't want to be hit for VAT or duty when it comes back. What's the procedure for avoiding this? Watch was originally purchased in the EU. The manufacturer has sent me US customs forms for their end, so there must be something similar for here. Anyone dealt with this when shipping to Switzerland?
