Topshop jeans fading quickly

Has anyone else experienced this? I've bought a few pairs of black jeans there on a couple of occasions and found they faded really quickly, much quicker than I'd expect. After the first time, I was more careful with the next few pairs - cool washes, 'colour friendly' liquid, no tumble drying, etc. - but it made no difference. I really love their jeans, but they're quite pricey, especially if they fade so quickly.

I was planning on buying some black skinnies from Topshop soon enough, so I'd be interested to hear if other people have experienced the fading problem too.

I have bought different coloured jeggings from M&S, including black ones, that didn't seem to fade at all. But as they're jeggings they tended to lose their shape after a couple of wears. Could be an option for the summer though, as they're nice and light?

I wear black Leigh jeans and they never stay black for long, contemplating dying them because the grey colour isn't very nice!

These are the only black jeans I've had that have stayed black after being washed.

Yeah, they start fading almost immediately. I only buy them for the fit and I've been meaning to dye mine for some time. In their defence however, they still fit the same as the day I bought them which is some consolation!

I buy them for the fit, too, and love the fact that they don't start to sag or lose their shape. It's just the fading that annoys me. Like you and Luno, I've been thinking about dyeing them but haven't got around to it/had the confidence to do it yet!

I had a friend dye a pair of Topshop jeans and they turned out perfectly for her. It was some dye you put into the washing machine.
